3. Reflect: spend 15-30 minutes journaling in response to the liturgy.

You reflection can be free form, or you can respond to one or more of these questions:

1) How have you been caught up in a crowd, doing things that feel normal instead of treasuring the holy?

2) Good Friday is a day to deeply feel the sorrow of the death of Jesus and at the same time to be honest about all the ways we go on crying, "Crucify him!  Crucify him!"  How can you be honest about your culpability while also receiving God's profound forgiveness?

3) The soldiers mocked Jesus, treating him as powerless.  How have you treated Jesus as powerless?

4. Do:

1) last coloring page.

2)  We don't think about it, but someone had to go and build the cross that was used to crucify Jesus.  Since then, many hundreds of thousands of people have made crosses, some of them for crucifixion, some to honor the One crucified.  Find materials in your house or yard and make a cross.  If will be your object of devotion, your icon, for the rest of today, Holy Saturday, and Easter Sunday.  What thoughts does it evoke today, tomorrow, Sunday?

We are reminded that the holy work of God is redemption, reconciliation, transformation.  How will God work through this difficult and dark time of coronavirus so that in the end we will arrive at Easter?
